Then the other rangers only have to bring charm animal, and with the help of the one beast master's calls, their pets turn into quite formidable tanks. I did Last Day Dawns the other day with 3 rangers, 1 wa/mo, 1 monk, and 1 mesmer. I switched to a beast mastery focused build and asked them to bring their pets. Nobody even came close to dying, our pets did almost all of the tanking and did a wonderful job.

Hi Ellix,
I did Abbaddons Mouth with 6 rangers + 2 henchy monks, and it was just somewhat coincidental that none of the rangers had pets. It actually surprised me that no one had a pet with them. Actually, no one even bothered to do any discussions before entering the mission of what skills each of us should take. We just entered the mission and did it so easilly, it was almost a laugh. I certainly don't mean that rangers shouldn't have pets. Its just that as coincidence has it, none of us did that night.

I wish it was that simple as a matter of education, but I think that it is the feeling of belonging to a group (elite in their mind) to make themselves feel good at the expense of others. The "holy trinity" concept is just meaness pure and simple. None of the "holy trinity" want to see a ranger coming at them on the battlefield, because its very likely sudden death and gg real fast. They know we just don't get weaker in PvE. I and others have posted statistics and numbers and explained the damage we do, and next thing you know some guy is posting a cookie cutter team build excuding rangers and saying how it rules. There is no logic, just a bunch of jerks. When you pay 50 bucks for a game and spend 90 minutes LFG, or just can't play cause you run out of time trying to get a group, there is a serious community probelm.
I have a list of fellow rangers I play with, and we clear FoW at will, all 11 quests. Yet before the November patch, individually it was very hard to get a PUG to FoW even though we knew it like the back of our hand. Things may be changing because since the AI patch ele's have fallen from favor with the masses and warriors are only good for holding books, kegs , and gears. When that gets fixed they will be in trouble as well. It seems like when you take away the exploits, we are left standing tall. Hopefully as the game matures and evolves we will finally get the respect we deserve.
